  • How are your items made?
    Our Chainmaille and Scalemaille items are made ring-by-ring with utmost love and attention to detail, ensuring the best quality possible. Our Leather items are made using vegetable tanned genuine leather. We cut, dye and process the leather items ourselves.
  • What are your items made from?
    Chainmaille and Scalemaille items are made from various materials such as anodised aluminium, stainless steel and nickel-free plated iron. All Earring hooks, clasps and chain are made from nickel-free plated iron. Sterling silver items are available on request, subject to supplier availability. All our leather armour is made from genuine leather. It is dyed, sealed and polished for protection.
  • How do I take care of my items?
    We advise that you do not swim, shower or exercise with your items on. Prolonged exposure to water, sweat and oils may result in items being tarnished or discoloured. While we do take precautions to ensure all rings are properly closed and secure, items are susceptible to damage if hooked or mishandled.
  • Are your items safe for sensitive skin?
    Our Chainmaille items are coated with a nickel-free and hypoallergenic coating that helps prevent skin reactions for those with very sensitive skin. Should you suffer from very sensitive skin and require a specific material, you may contact us for a custom made item.
  • How do I clean my items?
    You may clean your Chainmaille and Scalemaille items by wiping them down with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, you may use dishwashing soap. Be sure to rinse the item well, but do not leave it to soak in water for extended periods of time. Thoroughly dry your item with a towel or microfiber cloth before storing it away. Leather items should be cleaned with a damp cloth and dried thoroughly, do not soak leather items as they will take longer to dry.
  • Do you have a physical store?
    We do not currently have a physical store of our own, but our items can be found in selected stores around South Africa such as Tucker Novelties and The Alternative Geek. All orders are made online and/or via consultation.
  • When will I receive my order?
    In stock items are dispatched within 1-2 business days. Local courier delivery is estimated to take 3-5 business days (except for overnight courier services). International shipping may take 4-10 business days (subject to country, restrictions and customs delays.) Custom orders shipping times are subject to the size and quantity of items, estimated delivery times will be emailed on request of a custom order.
  • Can I collect my order?
    We are based in Somerset West, Western Cape. If you wish to collect an order you may arrange to do so after placing your order by sending us an email. Collections times are Mondays to Fridays 9am - 4pm (excluding public holidays.)
  • Do you accept returns or refunds?
    If your item arrives damaged or you are unhappy with your purchase, you may return it within 7 days of receiving the item. You will be held liable for return shipping and your payment will be refunded once we receive the item back. We do not accept returns or offer refunds for items damaged by the customer, items that have been used/worn or items exceeding the 7 day return period. We do offer repair services should you damage one of your items. See our "Shipping & Returns" policy for more information on refunds, cancellations and repairs.
